CV workshops are available for those who have had internships with us, and we can offer advice to alumni on both cv writing and enhancing your general profile to potential recruiters. With corporate experience and connections, we know exactly what recruiters and employers are looking for and can help you make the next big step in your career.

Noble House Asia also provide a support system for those requiring advice on returning to the Asia Pacific region for work or travel. We can give support and aid to our alumni who are looking to return or remain in their chosen city after their internship has ended. We have an extensive network of contacts and recruitment specialists in varying markets who can give advice and support.

Workshops

We understand the importance of connecting with other like minded individuals, who have had similar internship experiences as yourself. Whether you are collating a list of business contacts for the future, or looking to make life-long friendships, we know that there is little of more value than having a network of people to socialise with and learn from – just as you would at a top university. That is why at Noble House Asia, we make it our top priority to organise social and networking events for our interns. 

Parents

For all parents who are considering an internship as a way to further their son or daughter’s development, this section offers some information as to what to prepare, carry out and expect.

1: Preparation

Before your son or daughter’s departure and arrival in their chosen city, there are certain phases which need to be completed.
Initial assessment: After receiving the application, we will assess the suitability of the candidate to our available programmes. It’s our priority to create the perfect fit between intern and company, and we will always have your son or daughter’s best interests at heart.
Confirmation: Successful applicants will be notified after the interview and asked to confirm their place on the internship programme by paying a deposit 5 working days after receiving their offer. The offer needs to be accepted within this time frame due to limited numbers of placements and due to others potentially being interested in the role. This time frame allows us to organise the best accommodation and deal with all the necessary papers in time for your son or daughter’s arrival. The remainder of the programme fee will be due one month after paying the initial deposit or 8 weeks before the start of the internship.

2: Visas

We are able to assist with all visa applications for those based in Europe and America. We appreciate assistance from parents and family members with the sending of all necessary documentation, it is an important time in the process and efficiency is key.

3: Health

We strongly recommend a medical consultation with your local nurse or GP prior to travel. Vaccinations should be discussed with your doctor and please be aware that a full medical test can be compulsory for some university programmes in China.

4: Finances

The cost of living in Asia Pacific is dependent on lifestyle. For example, In China it is possible to live on a very frugal budget or a very lavish one. For instance, it’s possible to live on a budget as little as 35RMB per day ($5.67/£3.63/Euro 4.61). This budget is achievable through eating at street food vendors and snack bars, which are very tasty; many Chinese use these vendors every day and they are very popular. Buses are also very cheap and the public transport system is well-maintained, by western standards. If you do decide to eat at western style restaurants and travel by taxi your expenses will inevitably rise, but you can realistically expect to be in the 350RMB bracket (£36.29/$56.70/Euro 46.13). The recommendation would be to budget for around 60RMB (£6.22/$9.72/euro7.91) during the week and 160RMB ($25.92/euro21.09/£16.59) at the weekend. On this budget you can live and eat well. We have been there and done this ourselves so we really do speak from experience. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.

5: Documentation

- A scanned copy of their passport
– A signed copy of our terms and conditions.
If we are processing the visa for you then you will need to send the following pieces of documentation to our office:
– Their physical passport
– A completed visa application form
– A form of secondary I.D.
– Two passport sized photos

6: Flights and insurance

Please ensure that your son or daughter has booked their flights and sent a copy of their flight itinerary through to our office at least two weeks before the due departure date. We will need this information to make all necessary arrangements for the airport greet and collection by a Noble House representative. Please also ensure that travel insurance has been taken out for the duration of the programme. We have recommendations on request.

7: On arrival

Once your son/daughter has arrived, they will be met at the airport by one of our Noble House representatives. Their flights will have been tracked from start to finish so there will be someone waiting for them at the airport. If flights are delayed, we do ask that you inform us if possible (you will be provided with a mobile number and email address to contact us on). Once met by a representative, your son/daughter will be escorted to their new accommodation where there will be a meal waiting and one of our Noble House Asia welcome packs. Everything they need for a comfortable and smooth transition will be provided on their first day.

8: First days:

The first few days will be set aside for settling into the environment, meeting the team, fellow interns and exploring their new surroundings. There will also be a few meetings and seminars to attend. We will also use these initial days to register with the local authorities, and dealing with all the administration that will need to be taken care of. The paperwork can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, but we are here to assist and help every step of the way. We will also be in touch with you, at home, to ensure that you are fully up to date with everything that is happening – you will be up to date every step of the way.

9: Health and Safety:

We provide a 24/7 helpline to all interns and have on-call personnel available in case of emergencies. Our representatives have all had the sufficient training to deal with any possible emergencies. All programme participants are given emergency cards in their starter pack, containing information of their place of work/study, accommodation, and all in Chinese characters. If ever in doubt, they can just show their emergency card and jump in a taxi if they do become lost in their new city. Alternatively, they could just call their local Noble House Asia representative.

24 hr Support Network

On Arrival

Once they have arrived, your son/daughter will be met at the airport by one of our representatives. Their flights will have been tracked from start to finish and they will be met as soon as they arrive at the airport. If flights are delayed please do inform us if possible. You will be provided with a mobile number and email address to inform us of any such eventualities. Once met by a Noble house representative we will take them straight to their accommodation where there will be a meal waiting, with one of our welcome packs too. Everything will be there to make them as comfortable as possible to help with their transition and to settle in.

First days in China

The first few days will be set aside for settling in to their new environment. These initial stages will be about meeting the team, fellow interns and adjusting to their surroundings. There will also be a few meetings and seminars to attend. We will use these initial days to register with the local authorities, and dealing with all the administration which will need to be taken care of. All internationals need to deal with such issues throughout Asia Pacific, though rest assured we are here to assist and help with what would otherwise be quite an ordeal. In this time we will be in constant contact with you, the parents at home, sending you information regarding mobile numbers and other contact details, and making sure you are aware of all that has and is happening.

Health and Safety

Our staff are briefed and have the sufficient training to deal with such issues to a high standard. All programme participants are given Emergency Cards in their start up kit, containing information regarding their place of work/study, accommodation, and all in local characters. Alternatively, they can just give their local Noble House Asia representative a call.
